From your friendly neighborhood Naturopath, Dr Lynn: I know that no one wants to hear this, especially at this time of year, but if you are struggling with your weight or your health, especially if you’re a woman going through perimenopause or menopause, please consider cutting alcohol out completely. It used to be that we thought drinking moderate amounts was okay, even good for us, but the more we learn, the more we realize that there’s really no amount that’s healthy. If you drink because you enjoy it, and don’t have any health issues, by all means enjoy! Otherwise, please don’t think you’re doing something good for your body.ย
