An FIR has been filed against the builder of Omkar Housing Society and a BMC official of P/North ward. This came in the wake of a protest outside Kurar village police station following the death 2-year-old Vedanta Jethwa, who lost his life on 11 November, to infections from contaminated water which the residents were complaining about to the BMC and the builder since 28 October.
The residents of the society in Kurar village, Malad East claim that since sending an official letter to the BMC, no action has been taken to address their concerns.
