Mehsana: In a raid by the Gujarat Food and Drugs Control Administration (FDCA) at a Gandhidham-based beverage manufacturer, officials suspected alcohol in soft drink named ‘U-Star’ following which 30 samples were sent for laboratory tests. After the report, it came to light that it contained 8-10 per cent alcohol in energy drink. The announcement was made by health minister Nitin Patel to conduct tests on food products of all major brands sold in the state.
