ALCOHOLISM: You Know I Can’t Just Drink A Little, Right? #recovery #secondchances
When I first came face to face with recovery, I thought they were going to teach me how to drink. That made perfect sense to me. Teach me how to drink without demolishing the rest of my life and my relationships. Well, that’s not exactly how it turned out…
**I’m Cathy McLeish, an alcoholic who drank every day, all day long. I’ve been sober for over 30 years and I hope to never forget my past. The pain I lived through, and the pain I caused others to experience is the strongest incentive I have to live another day sober.
So, how can I help you understand more about alcoholism? How can I answer questions to help you through whatever facet of alcoholism is affecting your life? Please, put them in the comments.
I will share what I know and what I have learned blatantly and honestly. You may not agree with me, but my experience has given me insight that may or may not be relatable. Every story is different, yet, at our core, I believe alcoholics are very much the same.
If YOU drink, if you LOVE someone who drinks, if you HATE someone who drinks, I have some insight and information for you. Please, subscribe and join me as we gain knowledge and understanding about both the practicing and the sober alcoholic.
