Hey youtube! This is my video on how alcohol abuse can cause depression. From my experience, after using alcohol for a while, I became dependent on it. Not really physically at first, but mentally. The brain releases endorphin that gives a sense of euphoria when drinking. After years of doing this the receptors in our brain become numb to reality and need alcohol to feel normal. This can lead to depression over time.
