Chris’ Remarkable Alcoholism Documentary. We all know that college is a haven for drug and alcohol abuse, but most college kids grow out of the tendency to abuse drugs and alcohol. Unfortunately, some don’t! Chris was one of those kids. He came from a good family and had every opportunity, but he started abusing drugs and alcohol in high school and by the time he got to college he developed full-blown alcoholism.
In high school, Chis was literally the poster boy for DRUNKEN DISASTER! The police used his picture as a warning to other kids. By the time he was in college he was a full-blown alcoholic. It took a family crisis to get him sober, but he never went to addiction treatment. Watch the video to find out how Chris got sober!
I’ve been treating people for substance use disorders for a long time now, and it’s rare that I see a young person with full-blown alcoholism. Sure you see lots of young people abusing alcohol, but rarely do you see a college student who is fully chemically dependent!
As rare as it is, you surely wouldn’t expect for a young man from a good family (who has every opportunity in life) to be the one to develop such a severe alcohol problem before he was even 21 years old.
Chris’ life was spiraling out of control in college, and he knew something was very wrong.
