Here I discuss Anxiety and its relationship with alcohol addiction and alcohol abuse. Whether you have an alcohol addiction, a problem drinker, or even just an occassional drinker, it can have negative effects on your anxiety, stress, panic disorder, health anxiety, depression, and social anxiety. 1 in 5 people with social anxiety disorder also abuse alcohol to help with socializing. My severe anxiety disorder, panic attacks, and depression began after a weekend of heavy drinking. I eventually had to learn to cut down and even quit to manage my anxiety. I would have horrible anxiety hangovers the day after drinking and would send me into full panic attacks with every symptom imaginable. It is important to control your alcohol intake to really get a grasp on your anxiety problems. Remember to eat a healthy diet, exercise everyday, and replace alcohol use with a healthy activity to stay busy.
