A team of US scientists has found that blue-eyed people may be relatively more vulnerable to alcoholism.

A team of American scientists has found that blue-eyed people may be more vulnerable to alcoholism. 

For their study, genetic specialists from the University of Vermont utilized previously collected data on 10 thousand people. 

That grouping included individuals of European and African descent who had been diagnosed with at least one psychiatric disorder. 

Among the conditions they had were schizophrenia, depression, bipolar disorder, and alcoholism. 

The field was then narrowed to roughly 1,200 European Americans documented as having alcohol-related issues. 

Upon finding a strong connection between eye color and instances of dependency, the team retested the results multiple times.
