The toxic mudslide resulting from the breakage of two mine dams at the first of the month in Minas Gerais has left the residents of nearby towns without drinking water. One project is underway to cleanse water from the contaminated river, but people are afraid to consume it. Authorities have set up centers to distribute the water that arrives every day by tanker. teleSUR
