In this video, a long time recovering alcoholic priest gives suggestions to the leadership of the Catholic Church based on his own treatment at Guest House, Inc. and his own many years of sobriety. In his role within his archdiocese, this priest has been active in encouraging dozens of priests to come into alcohol and addiction treatment at Guest House, Inc. Guest House treats priests, brothers, deacons and seminarians at its facility in Rochester, MN and treats women religious at their own facility in Lake Orion, MI. Vicars for Clergy, Vicars for Religious, Diocesan EAP staff and others within religious orders can help save lives and vocations by advocating for early intervention and treatment and gently guided re-entry into parish life.
