Hello@RiaHealth.com

Dr. John Mendelson has been a researcher and physician in the addiction field for 30 years. He uses medication assisted treatment (MAT) options with his patients – including but not limited to Naltrexone following The Sinclair Method. Dr. Mendelson is passionate about transforming the way addiction is treated and removing the unnecessary stigma that can so often come with Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD). “MAT and behavioral change give us the tools to move away from an abstinence-only-based model, to a more individualized approach focused on harm reduction and achieving lasting results. These results should be based on personal goals, rather than the goals of a program.”

In this video, Dr. Mendelson, addiction specialist speaks about the medication gabapentin and alcohol addiction. Dr Mendelson will explain how gabapentin works to treat people with Alcohol Use Disorder, and how gabapentin can also help with anxiety. He will also touch on dosage amounts for the medication, any side effects that might come from taking gabapentin, and how long it takes to begin seeing results.

Ria Health delivers evidence-based care that includes medications, one on one support, digital app, and progress tools. We support people who want to either reduce or stop drinking with the care of an expert medical team and community support.

We use safe and FDA approved medications such as Naltrexone which is the cornerstone to the Sinclair Method. We also support not for profit advocates that promote awareness of options for people who want to change their relationship with alcohol. We are proud sponsors of the Claudia Christian’s CThree Foundation and Moderation Management.
