Quitting Alcohol – How Long Does the Tiredness Last?\r
\r
\r
First off, Im not a doctor, so I cant give medical advice. Alcohol withdrawal can be dangerous for a small minority so its always smart to pay a visit to your GP before you quit.\r
\r
The question: How long does the tiredness last came from L0kic8\r
\r
How long for you did the tiredness last for days after drinking??? Im wrecked tired all week. I know if I stay sober long enough my body will eventually rid itself of the poison and Ill get my energy to do more things. You vids are really helping me. Thank you\r
\r
First of all, congratulations for making the decision to stop drinking. Its a big commitment for you to make the decision to quit and the results are going to be well worth it.\r
\r
Everyone goes through different feelings when they quit drinking. Some people have ups and some downs, others will get emotionally charged while others will just feel completely drained.\r
\r
I didnt know what to expect. I knew it was time. I was sure I knew that. \r
I didnt notice any tiredness when I quit. the opposite in f. I felt invigorated and full of life.\r
The tiredness kicked in after a month or so. I put on a lot of weight over the years and a lot of toxins (mostly from alcohol) are nicely tucked away in the cellulite.\r
Once my weight started to drop off, the previously stored toxins began to be released into my body. Because Im losing weight, storing the toxins is no longer an option. So my body has no choice but to deal with them.\r
Plus, I felt young and vibrant again. I felt like I was no longer in a 46 year old body, and I was able to push myself. The more I pushed myself, the more I felt I could do.. \r
\r
Plus, I wasnt really getting enough sleep in the first few weeks. I had been using alcohol to knock me out for years. But it wasnt really the proper restful sleep that the body needs.\r
Then I hit a brick wall. I was doing too much too soon, result. exhaustion.\r
\r
If youre worried about feeling tired it would do no harm to have a chat with your doctor.\r
