George is a former entrepreneur who founded and led several small to medium sized companies, and who struggled with severe anxiety, low self-esteem, anger and other symptoms related to childhood trauma and upbringing. I coped with these symptoms by turning to addictive substance use, hitting bottom at the age of 50, taking up to 50 pain pulls and drinking 2 bottles of vodka per day before hitting bottom. At a life/death crossroads, I entered rehab and began a journey of recovery and discovery.
I learned that addiction happens in the physiology of the brain and the body, and that the addictive substances I was taking had caused a malfunctioning of the lymbic network in my brain (the network primarily responsible for reward processing). I also learned that I could rewire this part of my brain if I stopped using substances, and began to experience reward in healthier ways. This realization led me to deep-dive into Neuroscience from which I learned that the brain changes every day through neuroplasticity and if I learned how to self-direct that process, I could rewire my brain to make any number of different changes to myself. What is possible is nothing short of amazing!
I became so inspired by the changes I was making in my own life that I decided my life’s calling would be bringing this information to others, helping them make important changes in their lives. Neuroscience Coaching is my new career, where I get to help people rewire their brains to experience all types of desirable changes in their lives – breaking free from addiction, personality changes, emotional regulation, better thought patterns, behavioral changes, forming and breaking habits, achieving goals they previously could not achieve, etc.
I have certifications in solutions-focused and transformational Neuroscience Coaching as well as Nutrition Science.
Topics I’m always ready to discuss:
How to make changes in your personality (how you think, feel and behave) by rewiring the brain and body
Creating new habits or breaking free from old ones requires a rewiring of the brain. Learn how.
Learn why sleep, diet and exercise are so important to the brain and body.
Addiction is a malfunctioning of the reward pathways in the brain, not a failure of willpower. Learn why.
Who we are today is a culmination of all our past thoughts, feeling and behaviors. What is I want to be someone different in the future?
Being able to self-regulate our nervous systems is central to our ability to improve our emotions, thoughts and behaviors
Stress and our response to it is directly tied to our quality of life
How I recovered from a 50 pain pill and 2 bottle of vodka per day drug and alcohol habit
