Is alcoholism a disease in today’s medical thinking. Alcoholism is not a disease and never has been! We don’t need to live in the dark ages anymore and you don’t need to believe that alcoholism is a disease. The idea of alcoholism being a disease is something that was made up by the alcohol companies. The funded campaigns to convince people that alcoholics had some kind of disease that when that makes them drink. This is simply not true and in fact is a load of B.S.
People will tell you that they have this inherent disease called alcoholism and that they need to drink every day. I here this all the time from people making comments on this channel or sending me emails. Look the simple fact alcoholism is not classified as a disease, and you canβt just change the English language just to suit your agenda. Alcohol is a pharmaceutical that you put into your body. This is your choice whether you think this or not. This is your sole choice and not a disease that makes you drink.
Alcoholism was made up a disease to help with prohibition, get alcohol legalized again and get alcohol back on the shelfs and of the streets. The alcohol companies were losing too much money and they had no other choice. This is why today you still get this – Oh i’ve got a disease called alcoholism – People today do not understand that the term βalcoholism as a diseaseβ was used to convince the government etc. to make it legal again. But me trying to explain this to some people is like banging my head against a brick wall. But why would they do that you say. Its simple, if they could convince everyone that it was just 5% of the population are alcoholics and it was these people. Whom if given unfettered access to alcohol, would become alcoholics. They would have you believe that it is these people and only these people that would get addicted to alcohol and the rest of us the other 95% of people would be okay to drink. This is not true at all as anyone subjected to large amounts of alcohol over an extensive period of time would show signs of alcoholism. Anyone. This test has been done on mice and lab rat on many occasion.
If you put 100 people in a room and made them drink 1 litre of vodka per day everyday for a year. They would most definitely get addicted to alcohol and they would get the same side effects as any other alcoholic eventually. You take that alcohol away for 1 year and that person will no longer be addicted to alcohol. This has been proven over and over again. Time and time again. So please stop coming over to this channel and spouting you retorikk about addiction and A.A. Please you just make yourself look stupid.
Alcoholism is not a disease and never has been classed as being a disease in the medical field. People will tell you it’s a disease of the brain. Not true it’s the same as cigarettes, heroin, cocaine, they are all addictions, Take the substance away from the addict and they will no longer be addicted to it. Once you stay away from temptation, bars, clubs for the first 2 – 3 months. Its then you will be able to go back out there and not be worried about wanting to have a drink.
Personally I do it at least once a month and sit with people who drink alcohol in a pub. But none of this bothers me anymore.
Alcoholism and the disease theories are all a load of B.S. and I am really suppressed in this day and age that people are still buying all this stuff.
There is many reasons why people drink alcohol and I’m sure none of them drink because they have a disease. That simply does not happen. Alcoholics do not drink because they have a disease. They drink because they want or need one, to stop the pain or anxiety or whatever it may be. But trust me! it is never because one has a disease caused by alcoholism. Never!
