A new study finds Medical students could be more at risk for problem drinking. Burnout and school debt are cited as two possible reasons why. For the study, researchers sent surveys to 12,500 medical students across the United States. The researchers found that approximately a third of the medical students reported alcohol abuse or dependence. Medical students had twice the rate of alcohol issues as physicians, surgeons, and the general public, the study reported.
