In this video, Dr Sandeep Bhagat, Consultant at Max Hospital Pitampura gives education on the non-alcoholic fatty liver disease diet, symptoms and treatments. According to Dr Giridhar, the non-alcoholic fatty liver disease is an accumulation of the abnormal amount of fat in the liver cells which leads to inflammation in the liver which in turn causes liver Cirrhosis. The causes of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease are often associated with metabolic syndrome, obesity, Type2 diabetes, insulin resistance and high cholesterol levels. Dr Giridhar highly recommends regular exercise and healthy diet which could highly prevent and cure non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. Also, medications like antioxidants, Vitamin E supplementations, pentoxifylline etc. can help in curing this disease.
