“GLARE,” GLBT ADDICTION RECOVERY EMPOWERMENT is Out My Closet’s substance abuse empowerment campaign. Out My Closet interviews Michael Polanco as he shares his story of overcoming alcohol abuse.

GLBT persons are more likely to use alcohol and drugs than the general population and more likely to abuse alcohol and drugs, as cited in the Center for Substance Abuse Treatments.

Out My Closet is an organization which services to displaced youth who are in vulnerable and crucial states. We address immediate needs such as clothing and offer referrals to agencies where shelter and food are provided.

OMC conducts its services and mannerism that uplifts, motivates and reinforce displaced youth. We reinforce validation and acceptance of sexual identity and gender expression.

We also work with other agencies and organizations to offer consciousness on the needs of the LGBTQ community.
