Scott experienced one of the most painful losses imaginable. A parent’s worst fear became his reality, making it very difficult for him to sustain his recovery from an addiction to alcohol. It may not come as a surprise that grief and loss often makes addiction recovery incredibly difficult. Grief serves to fuel substance use for many. In this candid interview, Scott shares his struggle with alcoholism, his successful recovery, and his advice to others regarding both sobriety and grief.
