In Murang’a county, he’s known as Sergeant Saviour. Moses Kimenchu is an administration police officer at the Murang’a county headquarters. He is an extraordinary officer who combines his regular law-keeping duties with being an addiction counsellor. Sergeant Kimenchu has been reaching out to the lost generation whose lives have been ruined by alcohol.
Kimenchu’s spirited campaign in Central Kenya is bearing fruit as more men are quitting alcohol and leading better lives. Apart from rehabilitating alcoholics, he visits primary and secondary schools to create awareness about the effects of substance and drug abuse. Here’s NTV’s Rose Wangui the Sergeant Saviour.
