I think this is Rosella sitting here, the little girl that was a alcoholic, that was called out in the meeting somewhere, been an alcoholic, and the doctors had passed her up. She, when she was called by the Lord, the girl knows I never seen her or knowed of her. And the Lord told her all about her life and her condition, and told her she was going to be well. And here she is tonight, a trophy of God’s grace. A alcoholic, till doctor after doctor had turned her away, even Alcoholics Anonymous. I know her.

A little girl, she looks like, she was an alcoholic. And she was in one of the greatest Protestant churches in the states the other day giving a testimony. And the people wept when she told them how that she’d been brought from a drunkard’s grave, where five of the best doctors in the nation said, “She’s hopeless.” The A. A., Alcoholics Anonymous give her up as a hopeless case.
And when she come to the platform, the Holy Spirit said, “Rosella Griffith, you are an alcoholic and so-and-so and such a things has happened. But THUS SAITH THE LORD…” And she was delivered. She gave her testimony.

But Jesus cares. He moved me around, and said, “The woman sitting yonder, her name is Rosella Griffith. She’s an alcoholic. She’s been give up by the ‘s-Anonymous, and they can’t do nothing for her. And so all hopes is gone. But she has believed on Him: “THUS SAITH THE LORD. From this hour on, no more alcohol.” And now she’s a sweet, loving Christian; from place to place, and from dive to dive, from jail to jails, preaching the Gospel to save alcoholics.
Jesus cares, so just cast your cares upon Him. In your sorrow, He cares. When you lose your loved ones, He cares; He cares for the dead, those who have died in Christ.

I was born September 22, 1924, in mid-state Illinois. I was an only child, and although they did not profess to be Christians themselves at that time, my parents believed in applying the instructions of Proverbs 22: “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”
