The reason I was very happy was the fact that I don't feel like c**p anymore or feel sorry for myself. The whole experience for me in that rain was vastly different to what it would have been like years back when I was addicted to alcohol, and when I was a functioning alcoholic.

This has never happened in all the years I have quit drinking , but the other day walking to the pharmacy in the rain was one of the nicest experiences I've had for a long time.

I just wanted to share this alcohol free and sober experience I had on Monday!

Just on reflection it's really strange and feels amazing. The fact I was soaking wet, yes that was a bad thing, but the way I felt inside totally outweighed the negatives.

It has to be the best feeling in the world soaking wet freezing cold, but content happy and in control, with purpose.
