Fatty Liver Disease is becoming an increasingly common disease. Most patients undergoing Liver Transplant are found to be suffering from Non-Alcoholic Steatohepatitis (NASH) – also known as Non-Alcoholic Liver Disease. The most common reason for this is Obesity and the deposition of fat in the Liver cells which ultimately leads to inflammation, and could also lead to Cirrhosis.

According to Dr. Pankaj Sonar, Consultant Liver Transplant & HPB Surgery at Narayana Superspeciality Hospital, Howrah, adapting a healthy lifestyle and diet and increasing the amount of exercise can help in circumventing the disease.
