Being an alcoholic has a social stigma when in reality it’s just people who suffer consequences from drinking alcohol. There’s alcohol addiction which is someone who has general alcohol dependency that struggles to quit alcohol use. Then there’s the blackout drunk who may also struggle to quit drinking though their problem bears just as many consequences even with infrequent use. Quitting alcohol is no easy task, becoming aware of the alcohol problem is the first step.

There are alcohol genetics just like there’s pot genetics. The alcohol gene merely has to do with your bodies reaction to this particular substance.

My personality was addicted drinking just fit the mold. I didn’t need genetic predisposition to this substance to use it for escape. Blackout drinking was never possible for me, so I wouldn’t label my drinking as “alcohol abuse”. It was more-so “alcohol dependency” where I used it regularly to escape problems.

People wonder why alcoholics continue to drink despite consequences. Alcoholism stems deep. The alcohol drug is a hard drug despite it being socially accepted. Teens drinking causes more teen deaths than all illegal drugs combined.

Drinking alcohol will never stop, so people need the right education. I hope this video helped inform you of the dangers that cause alcohol deaths.
